29 January 2010 v Coburg
The first match after the Christmas recess saw both teams scheduled to play Coburg at Coburg City Oval. When the team arrived, we found that Coburg didn't have enough players to field 2 teams and it was decided to combine both the White and Blue teams to play against Coburg.
The Coburg team was very good and were well disciplined in the field making it difficult for us to score runs. Michael Nikoloski could make runs against Australia though in the form he is in and he notched his seventh 20 retired for the season. He was well supported by Joel Versace who hit a massive 6 and Samuel Brincat made his career best score of 4. At the end of our 25 overs we had made a competitive 6/97.
All the bowlers got a bowl andbowled well but the Coburg batting lineup was too strong compared to our smaller players and finished at 4/123. The bowling honours went to Musa Hussain who took 2 wickets in a hall of fame performance. He was well supported by Matthew Ciavarella Maysen Murgov and Anthony Bonaguro.
There are 4 rounds left with the next match at home this Friday against a couple of the Aberfeldie teams.
The improvement shown in all of the players isince they forst started is now noticeable and they are mixing it with some of the better sides in the competition.

There are no ladders or finals in the under 10 competition. The games are based on developing the players skills in a match environment and as such the pressure that a ladder can creat is removed from this level of competition.
