Round 10 v Footscray United (day 2)
Wet pitch, industrial dryers drying out the ground at 4:30. The game should never have started.
Once it did though, bad batting contributed to the 18 Avondale Heights wickets that fell rather than the poor pitch conditions. All in all not a good day for cricket - the less said the better.
Round 10 v Footscray United (day 1)
Foostcray won the toss and batted on the postage stamp that is Scovell Reserve. They took to our inexperienced attack amassing 3 for 406 before declaring. The only joy coming with the dismissal of Tarique Jeffrey for 37 - bowled by Birinder Sandhu. A failure in the big score amassed by Footscray United.
Based on the success of the opening partnership of Tom Cummings and Cameron Harris last week, the two boys opened the batting again and we were 0 for 48 at stumps.
A good batting performance by the entire team will severely frustrate Footscray United next week.
